Favorite part of my job:

I fulfill an unusual role in USM ... the corporate ‘newbie-oldie’. Apart from single-handedly ruining the average age ratio for the company, I consider myself fortunate in discovering a Holy Grail in the software industry - true variety. Here at last, I have found a use for some of the weirder moments that have occurred during my career. Although I doubt that there’ll be many punched card issues here at USM, at least there is someone on staff who knows what Hollerith Code is!

There is something almost adventurous in coming to work simply not knowing what interesting request will pop onto my desktop. This company might be young, but the raw energy, amazing creativity and commitment to excellence are indicators of a corporation that is destined to succeed.

Hobbies:

The most enduring pastime has to be continuing to survive as father to three remarkable young women - most of whom are older than my colleagues. I enjoy cooking, entertaining and finding great wines in dusty places. Cycling, cross-country skiing and the occasional hike with two or more of our dogs help keep the waistline under control.

When Not In Front Of A Computer, I enjoy….

The plugs, cables and watching the little fan blades spin. The side view can be a little boring though ...
