If you had told me 5 years ago that I would be advising clients on how to use analytical data to drive their online marketing decisions, I would have told you that you were nuts. But quite honestly there is nothing I enjoy more. Working in a place where I spend my days speaking to people all over the world who are involved in every possible organization and business -- such an interdisciplinary exercise -- makes no day the same. I really enjoy giving people the advice and tools that will help them succeed in their online ventures.
One of the reasons I chose to work at Union Street Media is because of its size and structure. Larger companies turn their employees into cogs; you have your tasks and your role that you fulfill but are not encouraged to operate outside of it. Really small companies are great because they allow and demand their employees to think about every aspect of the business. The problem with that model is that there are such limited resources to develop ideas into products and services. Union Street Media is the perfect size; we can think creatively about the problems and challenges that our clients face, and when we find a new way to approach these challenges we have the resources to turn our ideas into great new functionality and services. By combining this work environment with my approach to sales and account management, I can really help my clients create fantastic websites that further the mission of their organizations or businesses.
