Schoolin’:
Formally, a B.S. in Psychology, University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Informally, seven years working retail. And I think there is more to be learned of life working retail than at any College or University! Just don't tell my parents I said that.
At USM:
Once your site is published, any future additions or edits go through me! I’m also the in-house shrink.
Favorite part of your job:
The view! I can’t help but take a photo of the sunset every day. The 300-step commute comes in a close second.
Favorite Hobbies / Places:
Anything to do with the snow is in my list of favorite hobbies. I think if I could do it all over, I would be one of those guys who tests for avalanches in big mountains every morning, using cannons and explosives.

Who is your role model and why?
My former boss and mentor, Harvard Professor Harrison “Skip” Pope. Working for Skip was one experience I’ll look back at for the rest of my life and know I was in the presence of greatness. Here’s a man in his 50’s, fit like a 20-year-old bodybuilder, has made a permanent and infinitely important impression in the field of psychiatry, has published over 300 scientific journal articles, and still treats everyone like they’re above him. I worked as his research assistant, but he never made me feel like an assistant; he made me feel like I was his peer and that the work couldn’t be done without my presence.
