A quirky, entertaining and popular retail store on Church Street in downtown Burlington, VT, Scribbles is a place where "East meets West, traditional meets contemporary, and style explodes into fun".

Objective:

To take Scribbles from non-existence on the web to a full e-commerce site offering a wide range of products, from serious to whimsical.

Solution:

• Scribblesvermont.com achieved top search engine placement for several items almost simultaneous with site launch, causing the store to sell out of these products.
• "Hot Items" boxes on the homepage feature the site's most popular items. Scribbles can designate which are "hot" items.
• A "Virtual Salesperson" recommends similar and complementary products below each product description-adding variety to the site and encouraging the up-sell.
• Emma, Scribbles' head Salesdog, greets visitors on the bottom right of every page.
